2006-2007 is a SAGITTARIUS YEAR!

This is Sagittarius’ year. So let’s hit the royal road to high adventure, gallop on some horses to exotic places, surround ourselves/do business with foreigners, inspire the world, hang out in nature, be a jock, hang loose, get Big, philosophise, teach the world, be a little klutzy now and then, gamble, do some stand up commedy, change some laws, get some higher education, adopt a new pet or 3, do archery and practice Zen, get that ole’ time religion, get up on our soapboxes and preach, follow our truth and ideals, be gypsies, make predictions, study the Kaabbalah, sailing freely into the mystic.

Jupiter is of course the largest planet, known as Zeus to the Greeks he was hurling thunderbolts and forever shapeshifting, filandering and chasing babes. The colour purple will be popular, travel will be on the upswing, more sacrireligious comedies like Borat, religious fundamentalism may get even weirder or laws will be put in place to guarantee freedom and tolerance.

Jupiter has crossed the Galactic Centre every time it traverses Sagittarius.

O.J. Trial, the Oklahoma City Bombings, earthquakes in Japan, Israeli P.M. Yitzak Rabin assassinatated by an orthodox Jew,  theRwanda massacre, U.S. bales out Mexico economy.  In physics , the discovery of the neutrino.

Top Movies: Forrest Gump, as the eternal enlightened “fool” and philosopher “Momma always said stupid is as stupid does.” and Mel Gibson’s – Braveheart  a very Sag-y motivated film. 

Dec 26, 1982 -  Jan 19-1984-

Flight 747 shot down, Phillipino leader Marcos assassinated, C.D.’s were introduced, Michael Jackson took over the world of music.

Jan 11, 1971- June 5th- & from Sept 11, 71-Dec 7 1972

Israeli athletes are killed by terrorists at the Olympics in Munich, Britain takes over North Ireland, Pres. Nixon contacts foreigners goes to China, Watergate Scandal investigation begins. Ms Magazine debuts, The 1st video arcade game Pong.

Top Movies are The French Connection, Deliverance, The Godfather, and Cabaret. Carole King and Carly Simon are the big popular music artists.

Oct 5 1959 – March 1, 1960 & from June 10-Oct 26, 1960

First televised election debate airs between  Kennedy and Nixon;  U.S. spyplane U2 shot down over Russia, from which an Irish band later took its name; Carbon 14 age dating discovered; the 1^st working laser was built, and communication satellite launched. John Coltrane forms his first quartet and changes the history of Jazz, Vietnam Wars begins, political sit-ins and the 1^st black man is served in the South U.S.; many African nations gain independence.

Top movies: Hitchcock’s Psycho and Spartacus directed by Stanley Kubrick stars Kirk Douglas who looks great in a leather tunic and sandals.  Mack the Knife by Bobbe Darren is the Top hit song.

In Oct 24 1947-Nov. 15, 1948 

Jupiter was conjunct the Galctic Centre from March April May 48 and Oct. Nov. 48

Ghandi is assassinated, 3 countries are born-Israel, Palestine and Indonesia; Planned Parenthood is founded, Albert Kinsey writes his famous report; L.P.’s or long playing records are introduced allowing for 25 minutes of uninterrupted listening pleasure; Edward Land develops the Polaroid camera, in AstroPhysics- the Big Bang theory is introduced, also the prototype pf holography; the U.S. stages its’ Communist leanings  investigations on writers and other entertainers in the U.S; Czechoslobakia comes under Communist rule.

King George V dies, succeeded by King Edward 8^th who abdicates to marry his true love; Rome-Berlin axis of power created; Spanish Civil war begins, China and Japan war begins; Somoza becomes dictator in Nicaragua; The inverted swastika became the national emblem for Hitler’s Germany; Dust Bowl in Midwest U.S.; the BBC aies its 1^st television programme; the 1^st artificial heart is developed; the 1^st successful helicopter flight.  Gone with the Wind is published. Top Movies: Mutiny on the Bounty with Clarke Gable wins the Oscars.

Nov. 24, 1923- Dec. 18, 1924

This is pretty far back, Lenin dies and Stalin takes over; the Ottoman Empire ends {founded in 1290} the famous Clarence Darrow trial, Fascist in Italy; the New York Tabulating Recording Company changes its name to International Business Machines {IBM}; the electrocardiogramme mechanism is devised; and Gershwins’ Rhapsody in Blue is presented.
